What's love got to do with it? A wedding excerpt...

Last weekend, under a bright canopy of light + love, I had the privilege of officiating my dear friend's wedding ceremony. Here's what I offered as an opening "prayer":

A Marriage, as with life, is about faith, hope, and love…the greatest of these is love.

Love is the greatest. Love is the most powerful. Love is the secret ingredient.

Love is greater than faith because faith depends upon love.

Love is greater than hope because love keeps hope alive. Love keeps life alive.

Love banishes all darkness so that we may always offer from the light within.

Love is the motive force in the universe—it is the Universe Itself.

Love is the key to the Sacred that abounds in your heart and Love is the Door through which you must pass to enter into the fullness of your own Divine Being.

Spread love. Show love. Display love. Share love. Always ask, “What would love do?”

And surrender to Love because only in surrendering to your love for each other, can you begin to move towards the sensations of wholeness and Holiness.

There is only one Love. Let that love flow from you, through you and back to you making a beautiful and full circle. And let that circle be a symbol of the Unity that you are creating together on this day.

May your friends + family gathered here together be your witnesses to this unity of love and be of loving support to you both throughout your new life together.
