Fruity Green Smoothie

This is a delicious recipe that can have so many variations depending on what fruit is in season. My morning green smoothie usually consists of water, kale stalks, celery, cucumber and bananas plus whatever fruit I have in the kitchen.

Here's what I had this morning:

1.  Fill blender with 1-1/2 cups filtered water

2.  Break up 3 stalks of organic kale, each stalk broken up into thirds and place in blender.

3.  1/2-1 small organic romaine heart

4.  1/2 cucumber, roughly chopped (big chunks okay if using high-speed blender).

5.  Blend to fully incorporate

6.  1 long stalk of organic celery broken up into 3 or 4 sections

7.  1 banana (frozen makes it super creamy so plan ahead for the next smoothie!)

8.  6 strawberries or a bunch of blueberries or mango slices etc.  These can be frozen or fresh

9.  Blend (if you are using a Blendtec, speed #4)

General notes: I don't add vanilla or any sweetener but feel free to keep layering flavors to your own taste.

The color may look a little brown but that's all the beautiful antioxidants blended up into pure cell-regenerating goodness! Pour in a glass and ENJOY!!

The pic shows my wide-mouthed Ball glass mason jar with a special top fitted for a straw "to go".
